What to Wear to BlogHer 09 Part One
Planning what to wear is one of my favorite parts of conference prep. This year I want to wear a tight satin halter dress with 4 inch heels to our party. I know it will be hot in Chicago, so I’m thinking I want to wear sundresses with spaghetti straps the rest of the time – ideally something I can wear braless and look cute and not skanky.
Uh yeah. Key word there is “want”. I also “want” a money tree in my backyard. That “want” is up there with seeing 129 on my scale and buying bras at Target that fit.
So. The reality. What to wear.
I’ve been rockin’ the dress lately, and that’s only because I really have no pants that fit. I’m at my highest non pregnant weight ever, so it’s a challenge to dress for actually being out of the house.
I’ll either travel on Thursday and Sunday in a tshirt and jeans or a stretchy dress.
Thursday I’ll rock the Bravissimo

For Friday (or Saturday, which are pretty interchangeable) (from Bravissimo)
again with Le Bra de Plunge. Mostly because Chicago is hot as eff you see kay and I’d like to avoid the camisole layers as much as possible.
With jeans. More than likely the Lane Bryant Right Fit jobjobs.
I’m actually not sure on the shoes. Probably my standard Naots I’ve had since the Europe trip. They are comfy, have a bit of a heel, and will show off my pedi I plan to get at the Social Luxe Lounge. If not these, then some 10 dollar sparkle flip flops I got at Target in 2002 as I was on my way to see Scout for the first time in five years.
I’m still undecided on what to wear Friday and Saturday nights. I think last year I had stuff planned and ended up dressing down.
I know I am wearing these shoes from DSW (Okay, click the link to see the actual color)
I bought fun happy pants (again from Bravissimo)
That will get worn with a brown tshirt of Scouts. Hopefully that I will have remade into something a little more girly. We’ll see.

LOVE Bravissimo! I know I’ll be wearing their bras. No idea yet about the clothes, although I know I’ll be bringing the hat I used in my icon drawing & probably wearing my bright red cowboy boots lots. Between the hat and boots? Yah – big mystery so far.

Thanks for sharing. I’ll definitely be shopping between now and July. Gotta get some nicer clothes for the trip. I’m a jeans kinda girl, so it’ll be lots of jeans and cutsie, plus sized, tops.

so this was way helpful! I’m packing dressy jeans with some hopefully new tops and 2-3 dresses for the evenings. Pretty sure I will bring like 10 pairs of shoes.

Love the dress. Clicked thru to the website & where was this store when I was larger than a DD?!!? I need to get me some new bras though, I have 3 that fit me perfect & I can no longer find them. A plunging bra, def. will look into those.

I love, love, love the Bravissimo dresses, but sadly I am not a big-boobed gal. Big everywhere else, yes, but not in the boobage. Most of their dresses would fall limp around my clementines.

I’ll be wearing my baby. Hopefully her cuteness will distract everyone from the muffin top and dark circles under my eyes. It’s a shot at least.

Oh Sweet baby Jesus… I’m having a hell of a time figuring out what to wear. Have to start doing that soon because uhh, I procrastinate.
A trip to Herberger’s and Maurices and a few others is definitely in order in July – need to look ka-ute!

Probably jeans and some kick-ass shoes. I love me some shoe pr0n. So, there’s that. And a few visits to Ross, where they have cute tops on the cheap. And a visit to my new EA Active that my dh bought me and that is sitting here in the living room and I haven’t done anything with so that I can be seen in public. (don’t hate him, he asked me if I wanted it at Costco and I said yes…)
Probably I will be wearing a Stoli vodka tonic so that I don’t care what the hell I look like.
