   Madeline, you changed me in ways that still surprise me, considering I never laid that kiss in your soft curls, never got to try and make you laugh or clap or sing with me, never got to feel your tiny weight in my arms. You changed me. You never touched my body, but you touched every teeny tiny part of my soul. I will always be different because of your life. I am so full of gratitude because you lived, and so full of sorrow because you passed from this life so suddenly, so soon.

   I’ve written these same words over and over, to your Mommy, to your Daddy, to people all over the world who love you and love them too, and I will write them over and over again still because I never want anyone to think you have been forgotten. You never will be. I can’t hold you in my arms, but I hold you elsewhere. For always.

   Oh my, Kristeneileen…you hit the nail on the head! That was perfectly said (written).

   Oh Maddie, I never got the chance to look into the beautiful blue eyes and tell you how much you changed my life. You were meant to come in to our lives and change us…for the better. You have left a mark on my soul that will never be gone and you will never be forgotten.

   When my babies are old enough to understand, they will all know you and love you just as I do.

   You are missed soo incredibly. I just can’t explain the pain in my heart that exists because you were taken to early from us.
