Invite 10 – 20 people. They should each bring a bottle of red (or white if you are throwing a white wine party). As the host, you will need to cover each bottle of wine in a wine bag (or a brown paper bag if you are on a budget) and number them. Each guest will receive a wine tasting form for each bottle of wine that was brought. The guests should try each wine and use the forms to rate them.

Have “wine tasting friendly” foods (like crackers, mild cheeses, chocolates, etc.) that guests can nosh on between wines. Guests can go back and try any wine as many times as they want, but they should try each one at least once. At the end of the party the host will tally up the forms and unveil the wines. The guest who brought the highest rated wine wins the biggest prize. All other guests should get some sort of take home gift like the wine bag.
